‎"You shouldn't feel so bad about being afraid of so many things." "Why not?" "Because if you weren't afraid never ever, then you couldn't be brave never ever.

About This Quote

I have been asked this question a few times and I have to say it is a very good one. The basic question being, why should you be afraid of something? If I am not afraid, in some way, shape or form, then it is unlikely that I will be in the position to be brave in the future. I will be unquestionably safe and secure in life and not really able to do anything extraordinary because my life is already perfect in every way. So how can we be afraid of something when we are perfectly safe? Well, there are two ways it can happen. The first one is when we might actually be in danger; where we are experiencing fear for no reason at all.

The second way when it happens is when we don't know what we are afraid of. This second way is more common than the first and what makes it so difficult. It's quite easy to stick our head in the sand and pretend nothing is happening but not so easy to know what we might actually be afraid of. The best way I can think of to tackle this problem is by using examples.

Let's say you're afraid of the dark, what do you actually need to do? Well, if you're really scared then you probably need to face up to the fact that you're afraid and that means having a conversation with someone else about it. You don't need to tell them why but just talk about why you're scared, don't try and hide it from them. By doing this though you might find out something new about yourself so think about things like this before reacting too quickly! If you've done this then hopefully your fear will dissipate but if not then maybe something else can help you? Maybe there's another person out there who has experienced the same thing as you and they'll probably understand what you're going through better than anyone else can.

Have a chat with them! The last thing I want to say about this topic is that even though I'm telling you that it's important to talk about your fears then remember that sometimes people shouldn't even know why they're afraid! If for some reason, like some weird reason known only to God himself (well no he doesn't exist), people shouldn't know why they're afraid then they shouldn't tell anyone anyway because if they do they could end up making things worse for themselves! That's life though isn't it? We all experience different things but sometimes some things won't ever change no matter
